Looking to The Future (of Coffee Events)

May 03, 2022

After more than two years of strict limitations on travel, it’s no wonder that international business events and conferences have largely been placed on hold. However, in recent months the bans and restrictions on international travel have begun to lift in multiple countries.

Given these recent changes, I wasn’t surprised to hear that our very own Tristan Creswick, BDM for Dalla Corte’s South-East Asia and Oceania, would be hopping on a plane and heading overseas at the earliest opportunity.

He, along with 2 people from the team in Milan, spent a week in Thailand and have just arrived back to their respective homes. There, they met with current and potential new partners and were delighted to discover how much the demand for DC in Thailand has grown.

Dalla Corte isn’t the only company looking to get back to business as usual. We can expect to see several global coffee events emerge in the coming months with many different companies participating.

In June, The World of Coffee is returning to Milan for the first time in three years. Following that will be the Melbourne International Coffee Expo in September, also returning for the first time since 2019.

With the cost of the pandemic so dear, it’s a refreshing thought to once again feel the hope of moving forward. We wait with anticipation to see what other events emerge.
